A lightweight and simple method for seasonal protection from the sun
For the fourth year's course of construction's technology at the university, one of the assigned project was the study of a facade for an existing abandoned structure. The shell had to be right for an office building, it had to be ventilated, and with the possibility of controlling in a simple, stable way the entrance of external light. I've used elements from an existing product, called GREEN SCREEN, to build two variants of facade with an external light wire mesh, covered by a seasonal climber plant that could provide a great covering in the hot season, stopping the light thanks to his leaves, and let more light pass during the cold season allowing the natural sun-heating.
